Portsmouth Ladies are delighted to announce the signing of Samantha Quayle from WS1 side Yeovil Town Ladies.

The talented midfielder originally joined the Blues on loan at the start of the season but has since chosen to make the move a permanent one.

Quayle joined Yeovil back in 2015 after signing fro m WPL side Coventry City (now Coventry United).

She has also featured on the international stage after earning herself a call-up to the Welsh national team.

Since joining Pompey Quayle has made nine appearances and scored six times for the Blues.

Caretaker boss Jay Sadler was over the moon with the signing and said: “We're really pleased to have signed a player of Sammy's qualities.

“Sammy has great footballing ability, a fantastic attitude and a positive mindset.

“These characteristics will compliment the current squad that we have, and together we will continue to take steps in the right direction.”

On joining Pompey this was what Quayle had to say: "I'm very excited to put a Portsmouth shirt on and, looking forward to playing alongside some familiar faces.

"The club has a great vibe, the girls and staff are very welcoming. It's an easy place to settle in.”

The Portsmouth Supporters Central Branch will continue to sponsor Quayle for the rest of the season.

Next up for Portsmouth Ladies is an away tie at Luton Town Ladies in the SSE Women’s FA Cup First Round Proper, kick-off 1pm, Sunday, December 4th.
